Michele Maupin is a NASM-certified fitness professional whose approach to coaching is grounded in customization, progression, and empowerment. She began her fitness career in 2003 at American Family Karate & Fitness in Sherwood, Oregon, where she earned her black belt in karate and built the foundation for her belief that meaningful progress is best made one step at a time.
Today, Michele uses that same philosophy to help clients improve strength, movement, and confidence through personalized, sustainable training. She believes the best fitness programs meet people where they are, create structure without overwhelm, and help clients build results that last.
The Empowered Level Up Program was created because Michele Maupin refused to accept that aging had to mean weight gain, declining health, and lower expectations.
In her 20s, Michele Maupin began training others in martial arts, flexibility, and fitness. Over the years, corporate responsibilities took center stage, and fitness became something she kept on the side.
By late 2025, she was overworked, highly stressed, and heavier than she had ever been. When she was told that this was simply part of getting older, she decided to prove otherwise.
She began by fixing the fundamentals: tracking nutrition, increasing protein, eating more whole foods, walking 7,000–10,000 steps a day, and returned to the gym with consistency. The results came—but so did a realization. Random workouts and ideas from social media influencers were not enough. She needed a real system with structure, progression, and milestones worth celebrating.
After becoming certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Michele created the Empowered Level Up Program.
This progressive program moves clients through six belt levels—White, Yellow, Red, Blue, Brown, and Black—with each stage focused on building stability, strength, endurance, and power in a purposeful way. Every level includes clear goals, measurable progress, and a path forward.
The Empowered Level Up Program was built for people who want a defined path to achieve their goals and proof that their next chapter can be stronger than the last.
